The Ritz London Menu Prices

"The Ritz London menu prices" is one of the fastest-rising searches about the hotel — and the menu price is never the whole bill. This guide builds realistic per-person totals from official Ritz prices (the September 2026 tasting and lunch menus, the August 2025 à la carte menu, and the official afternoon tea page), adding the charges the Ritz itself discloses: the 12.5% discretionary service charge and the £58 per person Friday/Saturday entertainment charge.

Tasting menus — realistic totals

The Epicurean Journey (official Epicurean Journey sample menu, September 2026). "Menu price + 12.5%" is the minimum realistic total — before any drinks beyond the pairing:

Option Menu price + 12.5% service
Epicurean Journey, 5 courses £215 ≈ £241.88
Epicurean Journey, 7 courses £235 ≈ £264.38
5 courses + Classic wine pairing (£125) £340 ≈ £382.50
7 courses + Fine wine pairing (£280) £515 ≈ £579.38
7 courses + Prestige pairing (£870) £1,105 ≈ £1,243.13

Wine pairing prices are per person from the official September 2026 menu: five-course pairings Classic £125 / Fine £235 / Prestige £725; seven-course pairings Classic £150 / Fine £280 / Prestige £870.

Lunch — the best-value way in

Lunch is served daily, 12:30 PM – 2:00 PM, and the £58 Friday/Saturday entertainment charge is evenings only — never at lunch. The weekday three-course lunch (official three-course sample lunch menu, September 2026) is served lunchtime Monday to Friday only:

Lunch option Menu price + 12.5% service
Three-course lunch (Mon–Fri) £105 ≈ £118.13
Three-course + supplement course £121 ≈ £136.13
Epicurean Journey, 5 courses (before 1:45 PM) £215 ≈ £241.88
Epicurean Journey, 7 courses (before 1:45 PM) £235 ≈ £264.38

À la carte dishes cost the same at lunch as dinner — the Ritz publishes no separate lunch pricing for à la carte. A minimum spend of two courses per guest applies, and the jacket-and-tie dress code is enforced at lunch as at dinner.

À la carte dinner — a realistic example

The Ritz publishes no fixed-price dinner; this example uses official à la carte prices (August 2025) for a typical three-course dinner — starter, main, dessert:

Course Example dish Official price
Starter Langoustine à la nage £55
Main Cornish turbot "Ton sur Ton" £85
Dessert Ritz chocolate soufflé £27
Food subtotal £167
+ 12.5% service charge ≈ £187.88
Friday/Saturday: + £58 entertainment ≈ £253.13

A lighter à la carte dinner (pea velouté £40 + Suffolk lamb £65 + dessert £27 = £132) comes to about £148.50 with service. Add wine, water, and coffee on top — none is included in these figures.

Afternoon tea

From the official Ritz page (October 2026): from £95 per adult, £73 per child. Champagne and other upgrades cost more — the official page lists starting prices, so confirm the full tariff when booking. Note: the 12.5% service charge is disclosed on the restaurant menu; the afternoon tea page does not state a service charge, so ask at booking if you want the exact total.

Charges people miss

  • 12.5% discretionary service charge — added to the restaurant bill (official menu, August 2025).
  • £58 per person entertainment charge — Friday and Saturday evenings, on à la carte and Epicurean menus (official restaurant page, October 2026).
  • Tableside dishes serve two — the £150–£170 Arts de la Table prices (Dover sole, Beef Wellington) cover two guests, not one.
  • VAT is included in all listed prices — the figures above are what you see before the service charge.

About these prices

Menu prices and the 12.5% service charge come from official Ritz sources: the Epicurean Journey and three-course lunch menus (PDFs, September 2026) and the à la carte menu (PDF, August 2025); afternoon tea prices from the official Ritz page (October 2026). The "realistic totals" are our arithmetic on those official figures — not quotes from the hotel. Menus and prices change; always verify with the hotel before visiting.
